We believe that technology has a huge place in dentistry to help our patients have healthier gums, teeth and smiles.  There are many things we do at Pearl Care Dental to help our patients take care of their pearly whites and one piece of technology we love is our ITERO Element Scanner.

ITERO is a digital intra-oral scanner that produces quick colorized images of the teeth and gums using the latest optical technology.  What does that mean for our patients?  No more goop, gagging, or discomfort!  This new technology completely eliminates the need for tray and putty impressions that can be quite unpleasant and can frequently result in taking multiple rounds of impressions.  With the ITERO, we are able to provide a more accurate impression from the start, resulting in improved treatment and a more comfortable patient experience.

How does it work?  The ITERO scanner uses a compact, hand-held wand with a radiation-free laser that can make a 3D scan of your teeth, gums and other structures of your mouth in as little as 3-5 minutes.  This allows us to render a perfect digital 3D impression of your mouth! This digital impression can be used for oral prostheses such as veneers, crowns, bridges, inlays, inlays and implants or to create dental appliances like night guards.  By capturing 100,000 laser points in perfect sharp focus, we are able to provide greater accuracy allowing us to consistently deliver better quality work to our patients, nearly eliminating return appointments for readjustments.
